Not closed beta anymore (link is to Android Market)! Open to anyone with a registered Steam account (not sure what the difference is between just having a Steam account and having a registered Steam account).
So far I'm pretty impressed with the app. It lets you change your account info/prefs, view your friends and groups and manage that stuff, view all Steam content (tho screenshots and videos seem to work sporadically so far) and buy games. What it doesn't let you do yet is voice or group chat. Also, you can't, you know, play your games on your phone...zzzz.
I just bought DNF on sale for $5 through the mobile app. Worked pretty much exactly like it does through the desktop version.
I also let the app run in the background yesterday, all day, and there was no appreciable increase in battery drain, which is great.
