I think I've said this before, but I'll say it again, and include a handy link, Deadspace is good shit. Get it.

I'm not really a survival horror fan (though do have a soft spot for the first Silent Hill circa 1998, scared the bejeezus out of me) and I'm not sure I'd call this survival horror, though I guess it sort of is. You're surviving, and there is some horrifying shit going on, but there's also some fantastic character, interface and sound design going on as well.
