Machinarium is a point-and-click adventure. No, really. It's a point and click adventure. Where having a notepad to hand is a good idea and where every door and hatchway is guarded by some fiendish puzzle.
I bought the full game for $20. and it's very worth it, the art and animation is so beautifully done. You can check out and play the first few levels online from the link below.

Sun, 10/18/2009 - 8:06pmThanks for the offer! I'll see if my mind's variables allow me to settle down and DL the 10-day trial sometime soon. Have fun yourself and may the challenges present their solutions in the proper amount of time!

Sun, 10/18/2009 - 8:30pmdude I already emailed you the link, there isn't a 10-day trial. Just dl the full game from the email i sent you and play it whenever. The point I'm trying to make here is that you should do it before 10 days from now because then that link isn't going to work.

Sun, 10/18/2009 - 8:47pmAh, I see. Thanks for the actual game then! (Now to put my morals on a battlefield and see which wins...I feel a bit guilty not paying for it. Well, let the nine day battle commence!)

Tue, 10/20/2009 - 7:07amI'm stuck again. On the next lvl with the coal. I know that little handle is supposed to be used for something! I like the "look" of the game. Thanks N8

Tue, 10/20/2009 - 8:04amOh the puzzles are tough no doubt about it. You know however there is built in help for every level, for a general hint about what to do click on the thought bubble in the upper right. For a breakdown of what to do exactly for that screen click on the book -like looking thing. You then need to play a mini game for like 15 secs and the book opens explaining what to do.
Now for that level you want to jump into the coal bin after setting the arm coal grabber thing's levers to rotate around, lower & grab, rotate around. After it's grabbed you and it starts to swing jump off onto the upper platform on the left when the mouse turns into a diagonal arrow pointing to the platform. Now once up there unlock the box with key from below and rewire the circuitry/fuse box so the arm rotates counter-clockwise and you can escape into the pipe on the far upper right side of the screen. I believe you only need to cross one of the 4 wires, but I can't remember which one.
To be frank this screen is one of the hardest to get by, it gets a bit easier after this.
