I saw a shooting star two nights ago (restless, so I slept on the porch)! I can't wait for more!

I went out at like 12:15 last night and couldn't see anything, it was partly cloudy and I'm close to downtown, too much light pollution I think. I saw some stars but none of them were falling...

I went out at about 11:45pm and laid out on the deck. For the next half hour I watched the sky and saw maybe ten. Quite a few were really bright, leaving a residual trail of light behind them too. It was cloudy for most of the night but at times the clouds broke up and the sky was clear.

That morning I woke up at around 5:45 when I turned my head on my pillow and got a face full of dew. :\

I wish I hadn't been pooped from getting up at the ass-crack for work every day this week. And now I'm back in Seattle and it's all bullshit cloudy.

:(
When's Hail-bop (or was it Hailey's comet?) coming back around? I remember seeing that one when I was little...was it like every 50 years or so?
Then again, I bet there will be more meteor showers to come, and they should be more exciting since one hasn't seen them as recently!

Oh. Another random though, but how do those earth is flat people explain this and the ability to have predicted the meteor shower?

Hailey's is every 76 years. I remember the last time it came around, I was pretty young, though I guess if Bram was actually alive I must've been about 12. I'm old.
