Crafting RL Onslaught armor + Bulwark

This dude is having a real set of Onslaught armor crafted from sheet steel! He's also getting a Bulwark of Azzinoth and a Brutalizer done. Pretty crazy and yet TOTALLY SWEET.

It's 14 pages of posts so far but you can see the Brutalizer take shape around 2-5 and the Bulwark around 12-14.

Haha! Oh, the goofiness of it. Hope he doesn't want to raise his arms above his head. :)

Really, after a certain very low level, Warcraft armor starts getting insanely impractical, but amusing. I think the last actually craftable, wearable set that would afford a bit of protection is the Blackened Defias set, assuming that it's mostly made of boiled leather on a soft leather backing.

But hey, it's all for looks, yes? That's why I keep my pauldrons with the stakes on them (for use in vampire attacks).

Yea, apparently he originally wanted it all crafted out of solid steel but realized after some calculations that it would all weigh well over a ton and so he's doing box contruction instead.

Honestly, I would love a big steel Bulwark. >_>

Hey, that's not hard. We can pound one together and use it the base for a bar or pedestal or somesuch thing, maybe for to display your statuettes of Qyn. :)

It sucks that Blizzard proably won't let him bring this stuff to BlizzCon, so it looks like he's not going to complete the rest of the armor after the shield/axe. Which is too bad, it looks totally awesome. The Bulwark is amazing.

Also, he posted some updated pix with some color added to the shield/axe.

Yeah, I don't see them allowing that simply because it is made from metal. And metal spiky things at cons = almost exclusively a no go. I could see them allowing it for the contest, but not for general wearing around.

Though according to that forum he hasn't got a response back yet from Blizzard so who knows
