Hiya,
We recently had a former member of your guild (great website btw, looks nice), by the name of Azyrael. I was just curious if anyone knew exactly why she left. Usually when we get a xferred recruit I try to do a bit of homework on them, why they left their previous guild, etc. We're a reroll guild and we gladly accepted a decently geared toon in to our ranks, but I couldn't find anything in your forums about why she might have left. So, if anyone could spread some light on the subject I would appreciate it =)

Mon, 07/30/2007 - 11:18pmAzy was a member of Amaranthian as well as a member of a raid alliance which many of us raid with. She had a difference of opinion with the raid leader of the alliance and ended up transferring her raiding toons (also her main characters) to your server. She left an alt in our guild but never told anyone what she was doing.
I emailed her asking what was going on and she explained to me that she intended to play how she liked which meant not having to explain herself to her friends and guildmates. She was given the chance to explain her actions to the guild at large via public threads and instead chose to admonish various members privately. She has since been voted out of the guild by the existing membership.
If you have any other questions, Curel, feel free to ask. :)

Mon, 07/30/2007 - 11:22pmI agree with Qyn, and can only say that Qyn describes the situation and the events that led to Azyrael disappearing from the guild very diplomatically :).
If you'd like, Curel, feel free to whisper me either here or in-game, and we can talk more. In-game I can be found under many names, but mainly Droogan, Murometz, Tziganka, Vasilisa, and Fortunate. Or just /join the amaranthian channel and if I'm online, I'll be there :).

Tue, 07/31/2007 - 4:50amShe was also a member of Halcyon, She upped and left us after she wasn't invited to a raid one day and she caught wind that we were considering a second restro shaman. Which we never recruited.
She's a good raider but just has a very strange sense of logic.

Tue, 07/31/2007 - 6:14amI could've been more detailed and less diplomatic but I think it got the point across.
When she applied to Ama she told us that the reason she left Halcyon was that the raid schedule was too much for her to handle, not that competition was too much for her to handle. This was the same reason she ended up leaving our raid alliance. A new shaman had just been recruited who she demanded loot over. Her demands weren't catered to (she was told that she couldn't be guaranteed loot) and so she took her ball and transferred to Area 52.

Tue, 07/31/2007 - 9:02amIf you haven't checked out a person on warcraft realms before it's a good place to find info. Azy's Arathor info can be found at:
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/charsheet/54062981
This site gives you a char history on toons. Show's you how many guilds they have been in and how quickly they often they change guilds. You can also see her Area 52 history by doing a search for her name and looking at the toon in Area 52.
In fact I did a search for your name Curel and could not find anyone with that name on Area 52. I could only find a 70 NE Druid named Curel on Drak'thul in a guild named Das Manly. It may not have updatde recently, but its a neat tool to see a person's guild history.

Tue, 07/31/2007 - 10:11amIt's possible Curel hasn't used an in-game name to register on our forums, Ari.

Tue, 07/31/2007 - 12:14pmI do find it nice to know that other guilds spend time finding out about their recruits :).

Tue, 07/31/2007 - 12:43pmI second that and join in applauding the effort.

Tue, 07/31/2007 - 1:23pmI think qyn put it perfectly and it was nice to get light onto the raiding situation. I would recommend we leave it at that , since it delivered all points across.

Tue, 07/31/2007 - 2:44pm"Leave it at that" tends to suggest there's something more, usually :).

Tue, 07/31/2007 - 3:00pmWell, I think that she has appalling behavior and that she doesn't deserve any sort of charity at all. I think that if Curel is asking for advice on whether or not he should accept her into his guild, it's only fair to give him an actual account of what happened.

Wed, 08/01/2007 - 9:53amAzy is a very emotional person, who is often overcome by perceived slights, and is generally easily upset.

Wed, 08/01/2007 - 8:00pmThanks a bunch for the information guys and gals.
Yeah, this is the name of an old toon from Everquest and I just usually use it for forum registering out of habit.
I'll be passing this link on guild officers tonight. One of the primary reasons for forming this guild was to create a drama-free environment. This person seems to be exactly the type of person we want to stay away from.

Wed, 08/01/2007 - 8:50pmI sorta believe people deserve second chances when they try a new guild, so I am torn whether or not this was too much information. But you've come here looking for it, so it is fair to describe what happened.
I would normally say that you could also let her know you did some research and to ask her if she is willing to rise above past behavior, but she'll likely just get angry that you went behind her back on this.
In any case, it is in your hands.

Thu, 08/02/2007 - 8:08amI would agree. Good luck with your raids!
