I stopped watching it sometime during season four when it turned into a pile of shit that just mocks its viewership by stringing them along to squeeze out as much advertising money as is possible.
The plot sounded intriguing...for a movie or a mini-series...not sure how they've drug it out this far, and I don't care to know. :)
SPOILERZ
Season one would have been an incredible movie or miniseries if they had ever answered any of the "big" questions. They actually started answering maybe 1-2 of them during the third season, and the answers they cooked up were completely flimsy and insulting to the viewer's intelligence.
They laid a really great foundation for a science v. faith exploration and then they seem to have just said "lolfaith" or something along those lines really never addressing the topic again, which was another issue I took with the show.
I had a feeling a lot of you wouldn't like it. The biggest thing I like about the show is how they are tying everything together and showing us why/how things in earlier seasons happened. The show in general provokes a lot of discussion which is something I like about it as well. The thing is if they answered the big questions in the early seasons, there'd be nothing for them to reveal in the last (next) season.
As for the science vs faith thing, it is still going on. I think it'll end up being a combination of both in the end, though, considering there is a LOT of real science involved with the show as well as the faith part.
I didn't actually start watching the show until season three (I started at season 1..but watched it after season 3 was over) so maybe that changed something for me.

Wed, 03/04/2009 - 10:06amI watch it. It seems like we are watching the show from end to beginning at times. It's getting slightly annoying.
