Amaranthian

I had some pretty weird ones (latently derived from seeing part of "The Invasion" and that cellphone-msg that kills you). The first part was actually really creepy, involving these giant "bladed" plants to start growing in this darkly-clouded area of the city. Then a few dark shapes appeared in this alien forest and were appearently attacking people (the first one I ran into was a giant mutant dog that had excessive patches of fur--it turned out to be running from something and was frightened so we did not engage it, but the fact it was frightened was pretty foreboding). The next creature to come along was indeed scary. It was a mixed of a giant crazed Frank-rabbit with some sharp teeth and clownish aspects. It was just standing by one of the doors (waiting?) and then once I made eye contact with it it bashed down the door and tried to mangle me. Not sure what happened immediately after that but a little later in the dream my uncles came over, and then a few people with modified chain saws came to try and cut down the alien trees. Using one of the chain saws I tried to chop down one of the tree--which by ths time were less "bladed" than before (gg dream consistency). I made it to the heart wood of the tree but then the chainsaw broke and the dream switched again. I basically went through a clip of various monsters from this forest wreaking havoc an showing off their skills on the decimated town. Somehow this forest looses ground and it push back.
I finally got around to reading for my history class and got to a paragraph that involved the "yellow fox" plague. (I guess this was in the future or the history book was weirding out, since it was published before this event actually happened) In the paragraph I noticed the names "Vasya" and "Story Boyle" and that these two were involved in the cure/counter attack to the plague. For some reason Vasya was the only one in the area and I mentioned this excerpt to him. He said something about being part of a science team that devised a chemical to stop it and then went on to say that "Kondrashov" was pronounced "Okimdo." By that time I actually saw Vas and he was some sort of 50-yr old Hatian man(the one from Burn Notice last night perhaps) and he was/was also pretending to be Vas.
Suddenly!!!! there's a sniper in a nearby building and I appear behind him, fight with him, and then somehow get led around by him and chased by him (and the police) all at once. Then it switches over to some building where four people are just hanging out. The first guy(one I control/eyes I see through) gets some sort of phone call telling him he has to play drums with two of the other people in the house. So he talks to the two and asks them to go to the other room (for some reason the other two are some sort of anime twins). So after hanging around for a bit the first guy doesn't die and the two girls get a similar phone call. They had to be at some monument at 4pm and at 2am doing something or another. Somehow this is a success and the last person (who starts out a s a girl then is a guy...and a ninja--or something) gets a phone call. This time we all try to help which involves getting across the town. Oddly enough there are hostile "thugs" waiting for us on the stairs who have purple-ethereal hands gripping their heads and controlling their motivation (only motivation--not free will). My character does some sort of zap with his eyes into a mirror so they can see these hands--and then we move on.
On the field there is a discus-like thrower who is actually throwing these purple balls around the air in circular paths. It's like he's juggling them since he has various ones flying through the sky at one time (and for some reason my character is trying to fly through this air-space while he's doing this!). fter getting knocked out of the air a few times we eventually get to the power lines and are supposed to cut the "bottom two chords." On the left side of the lines there is a bottom chord and the two above it are actually side-by-side. Thankfully the outer chord on the second row is actually below the other on the right side of the power-lines. The twins then disconnect these from the right side and various sparks fly. Since the character I'm in is immortal (if he's immortal then WHY did he worry about dieing in the fist call that he got?!!?!?) he grabs the severed lines so they don't flay about and kill the 4th person. Still not sure what to do eventually a thunder storm spawns above us. Then the idea comes to them that my character needs to be a sort of buffer against all the lightning and so he becomes part of the circuit these bottom two chords were part of. The electricity of the current was a warm-tingly feeling but the worse was yet to come as he braced himself for the lightning strikes. After about three strikes (each getting stronger) the fourth person was deemed safe and that hopefully the death-messenger thing-person had stopped.
All in all the fight scenes were fun even if they were tense and/or scary and the aspect of a weird and unfamiliar world triggered my adventurous spirit. Although why any of it happened besides the few shows that were cycled through our television last night I have no clue. (and does anyone have any tips for flying in dreams--I usually have a rally hard time with it either only goig forwards in jerky movements or realizing I'm actually flying, and then due to that realization I fall to the ground with a loud thump.)
