"3. For every two levels the new player earns, the new player can grant one free level-up to a lower-level character played by the veteran player."
So once the referred friend gets two level 60's they have 60 free level-ups for the "veteran" player
I dunno about the "give up" of the levels though...when I looked at the recruit-a-friend I read something that sounded like a free level-up credit for when they get two levels, and they could only get level-ups to level 60...so i'm guessing if the friend levels two characters to 60 then they would have enough credits to give the older player a free ride
Yeah. Looks like you can't just level 5 different referred accounts to 10 and then gift all 50 of those levels. The referred player needs to be level 60 to gift any of their levels making the whole process pretty retarded I think.
Oh, I read that you can't gift levels to a player above your level, not anything about being lvl 60 to first gift...i'll need to reread the Recruit a friend bonus stuff
The guy in the video up top had referred two friends, both of which had to level up past level 60(required level to give away levels), then have those friends give those levels to him.
And you get a free level on the MAIN account for every 2 levels the REFERRED character gets. Can be gifted to any character that is lower level than the referred.
ALSO you get triple XP while grouped together for both kills and Quests. This is awesome for the quest turnins, as some of the Quests in Ungoro and WPL were giving up to 35000 XP per turnin, but as far as kills goes, it winds up being about 25% less xp per kill than solo killing with rested XP. Typically with my characters I would Dual-Box the kill quests, then do the Collection quests solo with each, and group together again to turn them in, which helped to maximize XP/hour.
aye, that's a nice tactic...concerning the "fun" of leveling up I'd have to say playing through the quests a second time around it a bother (although on some occasions can be fun...but to go through the whole washing all over again is time consuming too)

Thu, 12/18/2008 - 2:17amI feel so fucking stupid for having referred someone before they started this. Oh well, at least I got a free month of play time.

Thu, 12/18/2008 - 8:46amI watched the video...what the hell is going on there? Does recruiting friends give you instant, free levels?
Edit: nevermind, read the whole article....apparently you can level up and then give your levels to your recruited friend. O_o
