Depends on what your rep is at now, I guess. I'm most of the way through Friendly so that's not too bad. I'd think that as long as the BB Bruisers are still 67 then it probably won't take more than 3-4 hours to kill enough. But that's really just a wild guess.
Also here's a list of all the NPCs that are of the Booty Bay faction. Not sure how much rep you get for killing most of them but the Bruisers and Elite (71 elites who I think will spawn after we kill enough Bruisers) give 25 rep apiece.
Took us 2-3 hours, depending on starting reputation. Furiouso and Keroth were more hated with Bloodsail than the rest of us (b/c Paladins) and so it took them like an extra 45 minutes of grinding to get to Friendly.
Also on a HATED WITH ALL GOBLINS note: I fought my way into Everlook, Gadgetzan and Mudsprocket yesterday to get my handful of candy and and while it was kind of annoying it was also pretty amusing. I took some free action pots to keep from getting netted and then ran outside the gates with like 15-20 guards on me and aoe'd them all down to the applause of random onlookers.
I haven't yet tried clicking At War with Bloodsail to see how much rep I gain/lose from killing the pirates but there's also a goblin outside every goblin town offering you a quest to get rep back with them. It's some cloth, and another item purchasable from a trade vendor. So not entirely sure how much time the grind back to neutral takes but I'm debating on whether or not to actually grind it or not.
yeah, until it starts interfering with my game i'm not grinding back to neutral with goblins. too much hassle for a 70 to worry about (unless there's goblins in WotLK!)
Well, there will be Northrend in WOTLK which is in Azeroth and so you'll probably be dealing with the hated factions more often than now since most of your time is spent in Outland where the Goblins don't seem to care (Area 52 Gobos still <3 me).
oh whoops! I was supposed to send them a Mechano-messenger to report all your actions against the Goblin cartel...ehh to pricey to fix the blasted machine anyway, what they never know wont hurt them...unless there turns out to be a Felreaver pirate set....
hey! I didn't send them the message (but just note that i'll be holding onto it in case you decide to farm my buddies up at Area-52...I have enough guilt letting Negatron ravage that place as it is)
You could go save the goblin in DM north. That nets you about 300 (maybe more) rep every time you do, and you don't have to sacrifice your Bloodsail friends.
