I thought for a group that normally isn't associated with PSA's it was very well thought out and executed. I've been following the Colony Collapse Disorder ever since my grandfathers two hive clusters died or disappeared in a matter of 3 days about a year ago.
Wiki has the best explanation of possible reasons and the outline of the whole syndrome. One of the more recent theories is electro magnetic radiation is a rampant contributor. This theory was constructed after several tests show bees reacting violently to what we would define as harmless electronics.
Your all clueless... (sPOILer sorta for newest season of Dr. who)
haven't you seen the most recent Dr. Who?
the majority of bees are aliens and left b/c impending doom from the Daleks moving the earth to a time lapsed section near a nebula
Also i just remade my computer, and other household electronics, outta wood and resin (oh and a few pistachios)
I got stung by a ninja bee today at the farm...Saw ONE bee fly by a few minutes before i got stung...then suddenly my leg had several spots where it started to sting/itch
So perhaps instead of actually disappearing they are training to be ninjas, hence us not being able to find them
also getting stung through jeans makes the stings much less painful...more like a "wtf(or "eh?")" feeling than an "omg ouch" feeling
I just wish they would help pollinate more of the native wildflowers than constantly pigging out on the thistle flowers :(
Several spots indicate you're allergic. Be careful
I looked at the bee tshirts and they are just terrible design
i only got 2 bumps (about 3" apart...so probably different sing-points) i think i had a few otehr areas where the bee stung me, but probably didn't get deep enough (b/c of the jeans) to cause much of a reaction
The big fuzzy ones make me happy. It's those little ones I'm scared of. They sting you while you watch the fuzzy ones. Maybe they're working together..hmm.
Interestingly enough, I haven't seen any bees around this year, just wasps. I hope they haven't died out here too. :\
So I left my townhouse on Saturday afternoon to take some garbage out to the dumpster and on the way back into the house i stopped about 4 feet short of the door cause I noticed a few wasps between the storm door and the regular door. As I wondered why these two or three wasps were on top of each other I noticed a few more... then a few more......then I noticed about two dozen on the bottom corner of the door. I was beating them and then fleeing for my life for about 10 minutes in 2 or 3 minute intervals, made me think of Brambles post. I finally gave up because there were too many. I had killed at least a couple dozen. Apparently they have made a nest in my door.
I totally need to get something to spray them with today on my way home.
Get a high powered airsoft gun!!! :D

Thu, 07/31/2008 - 11:28pmSeriously though. Lets look past being stung, and realize bees are important.
Didn't you see the website at the end of the video?

Thu, 07/31/2008 - 11:42pmI even went to the website. You can pretend you're a bee and fly super high up then dive bomb shit. Not really, but it's kind of fun.
