For an extra extra level of security, use the Blizzard® Authenticator Authenticator™, a lock which fits around the Blizzard® Authenticator™, obscuring its output, that requires DNA to be verified by Blizzard® before logging in to World of Warcraft®. It also protects your system settings, auctions, bank, guild bank, keyring, and chat channels, each requiring a separate DNA test.

I like how they note that someone was allegedly "hacked" after getting an authenticator.

I'm still gonna pick one up, I've allready been hacked once. ><

If you read the article they debunk that "I got an authenticator and was still hacked! WTF LOL!" rumor which links to the discussion on the Blizz forum.

Works like a charm on my iPhone. Kind of a pain, but I guess it's worth not getting my precious, precious purple itams sharded or vendored.

Yea I saw that the other day. It's seems somewhat less secure to be using an app on your phone rather than the physical authenticator.

Furiouso

How so? Either way it's just generating a number, there are various means by which you could sabotage or reproduce the results from either one.
