I haven't gone ahead and tried to Bootcamp yet, I'm pretty happy with the performance of WoW on Leopard. I also don't have a copy of XP to load up and try.
Maya is some hard shit. I'm working on learning Nurbs right now. I can't wait to get into shaders and lighting though. So far so good, once I render something I'll post a pic.
WoW + Leopard = Goodness, at least so far for me. I haven't tried Bootcamp yet b/c not so excited about coming anywhere near Windows again.
Generally, the stability and usefulness of OS X has been lifechanging here. Got the power of Unix for the hardcore stuff, very polished apps and desktop for everything else, and little or no worry about (or time or energy spent on) virii/worms/etc. My OS outlook has become dogmatic, but it's very firmly rooted in years using all of the above.

Wow runs better in XP pro than leopard. I used to get better and more consistent frame rates.
I use the mac side for Maya and photoshop.
