Wow. Azeroth is a lot smaller than I thought it was.

Also, it doesn't make much sense for Outland (Draenor) to be in orbit around it...there would be INSANE tides from a body the size of what Draenor used to be...and doesn't it have its own moons? And wouldn't there be a crazy meteor shower all the time on Azeroth from the debris of Outland?

I'd always figured it was in the next orbit over. Sort of an Earth-Mars relationship. Oh well. all of this would require Blizz to make sense.

Wow, I wish my computer was that detailed so I could check it out. That's super neat.

Someone pointed this out in our Black Temple raid last night....right about the same time that you made your 'discovery'...had you not seen that before in all the months of doing BT? D:

Well.. this is kind of behind illidan and we tend to spend more time looking at the boss then we do looking at the sky..

Also, I'd dare say Azeroth is the moon.

It doesn't make any sense for them to be this close to Azeroth, does it?

Yeah- the whole edge of the Outlands works that way anyway, all the floaty chunks of planet but we still stick...and Nagrand is even weirder with the floaty islands with waterfalls off them...Magic is always the answer.

Crazy Rambles's picture

Crazy Rambles

magic can also be enforced by the imagination button too
and then there are those pillars of light that go up into forever...and those balls of magic that come out of ppls hands...and amges can conjure food! no law of conservation of mass there....and then the monsters MATERIALIZE out of nowhere! and then druids actually turn INTO animals....then the falling damage is very OP compared to RL....i mean they don't curl their feet and legs when they land either

Oh, I see, it's not limitations of the game engine or lack of detail on the designers' parts, it was MEANT to be that way! :P

I'm willing to accept magic as the reason for a lot of things, but I still find Outland being in orbit of Azeroth the be screwy.

On the other hand, it would be awesome to have a workable observatory (Say, at Area 52) where you could observe Azeroth from space. :D
